Halloween, oh Halloween, my favorite time of year. It’s that “spooky season” where I can’t help to make stuff featuring 1134 Comix’ original character, Blakbone. Those of you who have followed this blog for a long time are likely familiar with Blakbone. If not, that’s cool, you can catch up on his story by selecting “Blakbone” from the categories menu.
This time around I don’t have a new chapter to his ongoing story (though one will come about at some point, I’m sure). That said, you’ll probably see him pop back up with Grim Reaper again by the end of the month. This week, however, I thought I would do something similar to last week’s post and make another drawing video.

For more Halloween fun, we’re publishing a video series at 1134 Press about creating a Spooky Photo Album! Check it out, get into the spirit, and start decorating!
Last summer, so many of our supporters pitched in to help give 1134 Press/1134 Comix a jump start. It worked out great, and we were able to meet almost all of our goals since then. We began production on a printed collection of 1134 Comix web comics, and a few months ago were able to publish the book! It can be found here, and soon will be available at our own shop. Speaking of our own shop, there are still limited copies of Gestalt available there–check it out if you don’t have a copy!
Now, we are very close to finishing the next printed Blakbone story. See some of the penciled pages below:
This book features a bunch of our supporters as characters–and they all have important roles in the story! Unfortunately, you can’t see many of them in the above photo (sorry about that). The book is 22 pages long – a regular size comic book – and page 20 is currently being drawn. We hope to have this published by the end of summer/early fall. That said, these this things always take longer than we hope …
Keep a lookout for The Outer Space Adventures of Blakbone, where you will see our favorite anti-hero travel the cosmos and, with the help of a new cast of characters, face one of his old enemies!
After quite a process, followed by quite a wait, The Adventures of Blakbone is finally available at Indy Planet!
We want to thank all of our supporters who helped make it possible to create this collection. And on that note, the art for the next Blakbone comic is well underway. We are shooting for a summertime release. The next story features some of our favorite readers–look for them in the pages of next issue!

So, there’s the long awaited last page of the, now concluded, Blakbone story arc. The next leg of the adventure is in the works–and will feature a bunch of our supporters too! We’re planning to have that out there real soon (just about every time I give a timeframe for any of these projects, I’m way off . . . so, lets go with “real soon” for now).
