Blakbone in Print!
23 JulLast summer, so many of our supporters pitched in to help give 1134 Press/1134 Comix a jump start. It worked out great, and we were able to meet almost all of our goals since then. We began production on a printed collection of 1134 Comix web comics, and a few months ago were able to publish the book! It can be found here, and soon will be available at our own shop. Speaking of our own shop, there are still limited copies of Gestalt available there–check it out if you don’t have a copy!
Now, we are very close to finishing the next printed Blakbone story. See some of the penciled pages below:
This book features a bunch of our supporters as characters–and they all have important roles in the story! Unfortunately, you can’t see many of them in the above photo (sorry about that). The book is 22 pages long – a regular size comic book – and page 20 is currently being drawn. We hope to have this published by the end of summer/early fall. That said, these this things always take longer than we hope …
Keep a lookout for The Outer Space Adventures of Blakbone, where you will see our favorite anti-hero travel the cosmos and, with the help of a new cast of characters, face one of his old enemies!

Blakbone is in Print!
21 AprAfter quite a process, followed by quite a wait, The Adventures of Blakbone is finally available at Indy Planet!
We want to thank all of our supporters who helped make it possible to create this collection. And on that note, the art for the next Blakbone comic is well underway. We are shooting for a summertime release. The next story features some of our favorite readers–look for them in the pages of next issue!

Updates
2 AprIt’s been a long time since our last update, but we’ve been at work planning the next steps with 1134 Comix.
We have a new web-comic on the way! We put it to a vote a couple months ago and the public chose Pussies of Tomorrow as our next web-comic. We have a number of installments drawn, colored, etc., and are planning to start posting them soon. The story was fun to write and we can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!
Also, The Adventures of Blakbone and Other Stories will be available in print soon. It is under review at Indy Planet as of now. If everything goes well, it should be released for purchase in the next few weeks!

And the Winner is …
30 JanA couple weeks ago we asked what you would like to see as the next 1134 web-comic. After going through the responses here on the website, on Facebook, and to our post on Instagram, well, it was nearly even.
Since both ideas (Shifty Elephant and Pussies of Tomorrow) seem to have some support, we will do both. One will be a web-comic that will start running here, at 1134 Comix, soon. The other will be made into a one-off print comic that will be scheduled for later this year / next spring. We haven’t yet decided which will be which, but that choice will be finalized soon.
In other news:
The Adventures of Blakbone and Other Short Stories has gone into the printing process. It might still be a couple more weeks to go over the proof and make any adjustments. We will be making an official announcement soon in regard to the release date.
Also, the long awaited update to our web-comic platform is still on the agenda. There’s a lot in the works here and we can’t wait to see it all through!
