New Book from 1134 Press
22 JunMost of our posts over here at 1134 Comix are all about … well, 1134 Comix. This time, though, we’ll be focusing on the other side of the project: 1134 Press.
You might have seen handmade journals by 1134 Press on Etsy, Instagram, or the 1134 Press website. 1134 Press is all about writing; as the tagline, “Did You Write Today” implies. One of the goals of 1134 Press is to inspire others to write—writing can be a truly cathartic and meditative process. In this spirit, 1134 has teamed up with Bri “Bam” Moble of the Mad Milfy podcast to create a journal with a very particular writer in mind: mothers.
Here’s the full description:
For Us: A Self Care Journal for Mamas features daily writing prompts for mothers to practice self-love and encourage mindfulness, healing, and positive navigation of motherhood. Motherhood is a job that you take blindly without direction, description or expectation. Your love is spread thin—none for you, more for everyone else. In this journal you will find over 160 pages of inspirational quotes, checklists, and worksheets for personal reflection that will help you pour a little more love into yourself.
As a special offer, preordered books will receive a 10% discount. The last date to preorder is July 1st. All preordered books will be shipped 2-5 business days after this date.
There it is folks! So, if you know any mothers, who would love this amazing journal, preorder now at 1134 Press!
1134 Press: Campaign
7 JunGood afternoon everybody,
Last month we launched our new site, 1134 Press. We have a lot of big plans for that project. With that in mind, and considering some financial realities, we’ve started a GoFundMe campaign as a way to jumpstart this project.
Please follow the link to help us out – we’re also offering some pretty great rewards for your donations!

It’s Been A Long Time
13 AprHello,
It’s been a long time since the last comic has been posted to the site. Sorry about that. Blakbone will continue were it left off (at some point in the not too distant future). That said, there are some pretty big things in the works at 1134 Comix!
First, we’ve finally locked in our very own domain name. Now, we’re simply 1134comix.com–we’re on our way to the big leagues now!
Also in the works, is what will be our sister site. Here you will find all the goofy web-comics that have always lived on this site. The new site will be something altogether different. We will be focusing on print editions of fiction, graphic novels and comics (at some point), and we would love to publish some interesting poetry as well. We hope to publish work that fits with the essence of 1134 Comix. What we’re most excited about is a plan to publish a yearly anthology. More will be revealed about all of this over the next number of months.
1134 Comix will also be getting some help moving forward. Hello, also unpaid partner in online publishing. You will all be experiencing her contribution sometime this summer.
The last bit of news, for now, is that we will be releasing our very first, full length, book of fiction next month. This book features sequential art, mind bending flash fiction, hauntingly gritty art pages, and a number of short stories that walk right up to the edge of reality. Look out for Gestalt, coming in May!
So, stick around for an all new era of 1134 Comix!
